Oranges & Lemons is considered an essential service and will continue working during the "Safer at Home" initiative.  We  are focused on keeping our clients and cleaning technicians safe as the coronavirus affects our community.  We are taking the following precautions to keep everyone safe:

• Our disinfecting products are on the EPA's list of effective cleaning agents against Covid-19. Along with bathroom and kitchen surfaces, we are enhancing our loft cleaning protocol to disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door knobs, light switches, and appliance knobs.  We can also disinfect your computer keyboards and  mouse upon request. 
• Our teams wear personal protective equipment such as non-latex gloves. We are also asking our team members to wear safety googles and face mask to deter them from touching their faces. 
• All of our microfiber clothes an mops are professionally washed.  Fresh clothes and mops are used at each site we visit.
• Our teams all have access to paid time off and flexible schedules. If they or someone else in their family become ill, they will be paid for the time off they take to get healthy.

A clean home is a healthy home.  When a surface is soiled or dirty, it provides a perfect breeding ground for pathogens to adhere to and thrive. A thoroughly cleaned surface makes it much harder for a pathogen like the Covid-19 to adhere to. Right now we know that it likes metals, plastics, and solid non-porous surfaces best. It does not adhere well to vertical surfaces but settles and remains on horizontal surfaces for up to 3 days depending on the type of surface. Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces regularly is an important deterrent to the incidental spread of Covid-19.
